LIFE intends to implement an intervention to strengthen access to justice for LGBT survivors
of Gender-based Violence through the Lagos State Protection Against Domestic Violence Law.
This intervention adopts an advocacy and capacity building to promote agency among LGBT
Persons through an increased understanding of the existing Lagos State Protection Against
Domestic Violence Law, movement building and activism as well as improve the quality of
Support provided for access to justice by Law Enforcement Officials, Sexual Assault Referral
Centers and other justice service providers in Lagos State, Nigeria. The intervention builds on
learning from the AmplifyChange funded promoting access to SRHR services (2017 – 2019)
and the AWDF advocacy for access to justice for LBT persons (2021) projects implemented in
Lagos State.
